Roper announced that Burleson, Texas, resident, Kenny Ray Walker, was sentenced today in Dallas by United States District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn to 37 months imprisonment. Walker, age 46, pled guilty in May to a one-count information that charged him with travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Judge Lynn also ordered that Walker serve five years of supervised release and register as a sex offender. Walker must surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on November 7, 2006. He offered to travel to Irving, Texas, to meet her and on April 12, 2006, Walker drove his pick-up truck to a McDonald’s restaurant in Irving to meet “Laura” with the intent to engage in illegal sexual contact with “Laura.” United States Attorney Roper praised the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
