Gregg County Men Sentenced for Federal Drug Violations

TYLER, TX—United States Attorney Rebecca Gregory announced today that three Longview, Texas men have been sentenced to federal prison for drug-related crimes in the Eastern District of Texas. The sentencing hearings were held today before United States District Judge Leonard E. Davis and were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.

JEREMY JOSEPH VALLE, 21, pleaded guilty on April 25, 2008 to being involved in a conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine and was sentenced today to 60 months in federal prison.

JAMES BRYANT TEAGUE, 27, pleaded guilty on May 8, 2008 to the same charges and was sentenced today to 72 months in federal prison.

According to information presented in court, since approximately July 2004, Valle, Teague, and other co-defendants had been conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in and around Longview. A federal superseding indictment was returned on October 2, 2007, charging 15 individuals with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement Unit (CODE), Gregg County Sheriff's Office, and the Longview Police Department.

In a separate case, TERRY GLENN DOTREY, 32, pleaded guilty on May 1, 2008 to being involved in a conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced today to 87 months in federal prison.

According to information presented in court, since approximately June 2007, Dotrey and a co-defendant had been conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in and around Longview. A federal indictment was returned on November 6, 2007, charging both individuals with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

This case was investigated by the ATF, the FBI, the DEA, the Department of Public Safety, the Smith County Sheriff's Office, the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, and the Gregg County CODE Unit.
