Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that
a 24-year-old Kilgore, Texas man has been sentenced
to federal prison for drug violations in the Eastern
District of Texas.
GREGGORY DEWAYNE WILLIAMS pleaded guilty on April 9, 2008, to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of crack cocaine and was sentenced today to 87 months in federal prison by United States District Judge Michael H. Schneider.
According to information presented in court, an investigation began in September 2007 into the distribution of crack cocaine in East Texas. An indictment was returned by a federal grand jury on November 6, 2007 charging Williams with federal drug violations.
This case was investigated by the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The case was prosecuted
by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.
