Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 29-year-old
Gilmer, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison
for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
DAVID SHAWN GROSS pleaded guilty on May 15, 2008 to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced today to 60 months in federal prison by United States District Judge Michael H. Schneider.
According to information presented in court, Gross was selling methamphetamine from his Gilmer, Texas home. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 1, 2008 and charged with federal drug violations.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Gregg County C.O.D.E. Unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.
