ARMORED CAR ROBBERY ON SEPTEMBER 5, 2007 AT DALLAS, TEXAS

The FBI is seeking the public's assistance for information concerning an armored car robbery which occurred this morning outside of the Compass Bank, 1824 Abrams Road, Dallas.

Preliminary investigation indicates a Loomis Armored Car arrived at the Compass Bank at approximately 9:00 AM. As the guards exited their vehicle, a blue van stopped near the armored car, two masked men exited the van and approached the guards. The two men were armed with what were described as semi-automatic rifles, and were dressed in black.

After obtaining a large amount of cash, the robbers re-entered the blue van and exited the bank parking lot heading south.

A short time after the robbery occurred, a blue van, believed to have been used by the robbers, was located at 6121 Worth Street, the Lakewood Public Library. It was determined that the van had been reported stolen approximately two weeks ago.

Initial investigation indicates that three persons may be involved in this robbery. Descriptions of the robbers are not available at this time.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the robbers.
