TWO KIDNAP VICTIMS RECOVERED IN WACO , TEXAS AREA ON OCTOBER 26, 2007

Robert E. Casey Jr., Special Agent In Charge, Dallas, FBI, advises the information being outlined below is preliminary in nature and additional information will be provided as investigation progresses.

At approximately 4:00 PM on October 25, 2007, the Dallas Police Department received information indicating two men had been kidnapped. Additional investigation determined the two victims were alive and a ransom was being sought.

Further investigation revealed the possible identity of two persons involved in the kidnapping and a location near Waco, Texas where they may be located.

At approximately 4:00 AM on October 26, 2007, Agents from the San Antonio Office of the FBI, Waco Resident Agency, and McLannen County Sheriff’s Office detained two men in connection with the kidnapping at a residence located at 1107 Hamilton Road, Gholson, Texas, in the Waco area. In addition, while searching this location the two victims were located. Both victims had been forcibly restrained and suffered from injuries. The victims were brought to a local hospital for treatment. They are expected to recover from their injuries.

Two men have been arrested and face federal criminal charges.

The FBI and Dallas Police Department are jointly investigating this kidnapping. SAC Casey would like to thank the Dallas Police Department, McLennan County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI, San Antonio Division, for their assistance in this investigation.
