OHIO FUGITIVE ARRESTED BY DALLAS FBI
Robert E. Casey Jr., Special Agent In Charge, Dallas FBI, announced today the arrest of YVAN GARCIA, age 24. GARCIA was arrested, without incident, at 11:45 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2008 at an apartment complex located in the 5000 block of Hatcher, Dallas, Texas.
GARCIA was charged January 15, 2004, with Aggravated Murder and Armed Robbery. GARCIA was allegedly involved in the January 11, 2004, robbery and murder of a store clerk in Toledo, Ohio. On February 5, 2004, Cleveland FBI filed Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution charges against GARCIA.
SAC Casey would like to thank the Dallas Police Department Gang Unit and the Dallas Police Department Patrol Division for their assistance in the apprehension of GARCIA.
The public is reminded that an indictment is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in criminal cases are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
