Indictment and Arrest of Deborah Lee Stinson

Robert E. Casey Jr., Special Agent In Charge, Dallas FBI, comments on the arrest of DEBORAH LEE STINSON of Dallas, Texas.

DEBORAH LEE STINSON is a support employee of the FBI, having served in the FBI since 1987. Ms. STINSON has been placed on administrative leave and is not currently performing FBI duties. The charges in the indictment do not involve Ms. STINSON’s activities as an employee of the FBI, no FBI funds were involved, and no FBI investigations were compromised. Once allegations came to light concerning Ms. STINSON’s activities, the FBI cooperated fully with the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigations Division and the Dallas Police Department. The FBI conducted portions of the investigation into the crimes alleged in the indictment. This investigative information was turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for their review and appropriate action.
